The following relevant laws and regulations must be considered to when compiling SDS:

(1) U.S. regulations on workplaces, consumers, and pesticides

(2) Canadian workplace, consumer, and pesticide regulations

(3) European Union Regulations on Classification and Labeling of Chemical Substances and Preparations (European Chemical Agency)

(4) The UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods



Some countries must consider other regulations regarding local labor or workplace work environment planning, substance prohibition/restriction, etc.

Ex: the Republic of China, Taiwan must refer below:

(1) Occupational Safety Administration of the Ministry of Labor

(2) Bureau of Poisons and Chemical Substances, Environmental Protection Agency, Executive Yuan

For international air transportation,

in addition to the provisions of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, you also need to refer to:

(1) ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods By Air (Doc 9284).

(2) The safe transportation of dangerous goods in the air, Annex 18.

(3) IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).

 

For international ocean transportation,
you need to refer to:

International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code(IMDG Code)
